RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS
**************
"SEE! I WILL
NOT FORGET YOU...I have carved you on the palm of My Hand...I have called you
by your name...You are Mine ...You are precious to Me. I love you... For a moment I hid My Face from you but with enduring love I take
pity on you". (Isaias 43,49)
WHAT IS PRAYER?
The first question to ask is,
WHAT IS RELIGION?
Religion is a relationship:
A relationship of
the creature to its Creator
a child to its Father
a Bridal Covenant with
Yahweh…brought to
fulfillment in the Incarnation:
GOD BECOME MAN.
PRAYER IS
COMMUNICATION:
TRUE RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD (RELIGION)
IS NOT POSSIBLE WITHOUT COMMUNICATION. Talk to your God as a child
to its Father, as a lover to its Beloved, as a weak sinful creature to an
understanding Creator who yearns to forgive, help and make all right.
TALKING TO GOD IS PRAYER, or one may rest in His
Presence without words, or drink in the beauty of creation in praise of the
Creator, and/or perform a good deed to another for love of God.
Do you feel angry and hurt at God? Tell Him. God desires you to bring all concerns to
Him. He loves you as you are. God knows how to "write straight
with crooked lines" (Paul Claudel) but loves you too much to leave you
that way
Do you want to have assurance that God exists? Ask Him, He knows how to answer in ways that will
make your heart overflow.
Religion is not laws. One can observe all the laws in the world and never know the
Lord. However, true religion cannot be
mere lip service but must be accompanied by a TRANSITION
OF HEART accomplished by God if we
surrender ourselves to Him and ask His help.
GREAT IS HIS LOVE TOWARDS THOSE WHO SEEK HIM. "Seek God and you will find".
